Brenda has been developing and refining her own yoga practice since the early 1980s, and teaching yoga since the late 1980s.

In recent years her approach to yoga comes from working regularly with Diane Long and Sophy Hoare, both personal students of the late Vanda Scaravelli.

In this way of practising, the emphasis is not on achieving the external alignment of the postures, but rather on using them to unravel tension and to explore the connections between the body and the breath.

Finding freedom of movement and moving naturally without strain, we can undo tensions, soften muscles and lengthen the spine.

Brenda teaches regular classes and individual sessions in and around Southampton, as well as yoga workshops around the UK.
